Annette School of Dancing

Established 1958

Welcome to Annette School of Dancing, a family-oriented dancing school established for over 60 years in Camborne, Cornwall. We offer training in RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Modern and Contemporary for pupils of all ages (from 2 years). Classes are held at Camborne Community Centre, with easy walking access to the town centre, and nearby bus and train stations. Our annual charity Revue is an opportunity for all our pupils to take to the stage and perform, raising money for charity, and making memories which last a lifetime.

Our History

From Humble Beginnings

At the age of 9 years, a little girl called Annette attended Elmhurst Preparatory School. Whilst at school she began ballet lessons and was taught by Miss Cattran and Madam Norman. At the age of 19, the Annette School of Dancing was born. In 1968, Miss Annette was asked to put together an event for Camborne Festival Committee and so happened the first Annual Revue. In 1986, Miss Annette took solo responsibility for the Annual Revue and funds were raised for Sennen Cove New Lifeboat Appeal. To date, The Annette School of Dancing has raised in excess of £60,000 for local charities in a legacy continued by Mrs Harvey and all who support our fantastic causes.
